Why does fish not get shocked during thunderstorms even though water is a conductor of electricity?

Lightning wont strike the water, therefore no electrocuted fish. Sometimes ull find it happens in high mountain side lakes its very rare but fish can be electrocuted. Normally ull never see it tho.
