How would you punish this?

My 6 year old son got mad because i would not let him wear his flannel pj's in 80 degree weather and he threw a fit screamed and cried and then threw our remote control on the floor and busted it to pieces. How big of a punishment should he get? He thinks I am being unfair so i am going to read this to him and tell him what other parents would do.
