Car Stuck in Water. I fear it won't start again?

Your first mistake was trying to start it before you had it checked out. The middle of your tire is the bottom of your motor and also includes the starter, the top of the tire includes the middle of your motor (starter trans )and most of the electronics in your vehicle. Let it dry out for a few days, change the oil and filter and check the trans fluid for foaming. The seals keep oil in and dirt out, they do not keep water out.The water did reach your engine and if it went to the top of the tires it also entered the exhaust system and could be causing excess back pressure until it blows out
